Richard Falk: The Letter is ‘of importance for all of us’

An academic stresses that working towards global peace and security requires more thoughtful discussions.

Professor and academic Richard Falk responds to Ayatollah Khamenei’s letter and addresses the continued need for dialogue in order to promote an ethical framework for the entire world.

A fine and humane statement, although directed at youth is of importance for all of us.

Its viewpoint would create the spiritual and ethical foundation for feeling of community that extend to the entire human species.

Such a feeling is urgently needed to overcome the distrust and special interest that block movement toward nuclear disarmament and climate security.

I am 84 years old, yet still feel young enough to feel entitled to respond to Ayatollah Khamenei’s thoughtful message.
